The boy stood on the edge of the cliff, gazing out at the vast, endless sea below. The waves crashed against the rocks with a powerful force, sending sprays of saltwater high into the air. For a moment, the boy felt a thrill of fear and excitement as he contemplated the sheer drop before him.

Suddenly, a voice called out from behind him. "What are you doing up here, Johnny? You know you're not supposed to be so close to the edge," said the boy's mother, her tone filled with worry.

"I'm just looking, Mom," Johnny replied, tearing his gaze away from the mesmerizing expanse of water below. "It's so beautiful up here."

His mother sighed, her brow furrowed with concern. "I know it's beautiful, but it's also dangerous. Come away from the edge now, please."

Reluctantly, Johnny obeyed, taking a few steps back from the precipice. He couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment as he left the edge behind, but he knew his mother was only trying to keep him safe.
